A call meeting was set for Wednesday night at 7,0302H,
July 23, 1958 to go over the tax rendition's for the year 1958,
Council voted to continue the add in the Sanger Fair Catalogue
for 1958s taking 1A of a page at $7.50.
The City year that will close August ).L.,1958 was decided by
the council not have the books audited this year but have them
audited each two years until further notice.
Mr. Gemaehlich ta,as to be payed his regular salary for working
two nights for the nightwatch nan and not nightwatchman pay, and
the nightwatchman was to be deducted for two nights off duty.
The nightwatchman's job was to work seven (7) days a week.

The City Council met in regular session on the' above date
thoae present were Mayor Wilson, Councilmen Acker, Seely, Brown,
Cooper, and Windle, John L. Sullivan City Attorney as guest.,
John L. Sullivan was instructed to draw up a franchise for the Telephone Co. binding them to their agreement.
Minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved.
The monthly bills totaling $4,471.58 was read and a motion by Cooper, seconded by Seely to pay accounts, motion carried.
A motion by Seely, seconded b y,. Windle to have Constable Carter to mark off a place on the west,5 of the park abp zt the center of
the park for peddlers to park their trucks and snot to be used by any other vehicle; and all peddlers was to use Ihi s space to sell
their merchandise, motion carried.
Discussion was given about betting grass cut along the walk just behind the Fire Hall to 3 X X , Cherry Street, also on
3rd street along Cherry St, and also on the west XXXd side of 3rd street to"Cherry St and also alonig Cherry St. from 3RD STREET
to 4th street.
Nightwatchman was to work seven days a week and if he wanted to get someone to relief him a night or two a week he would pay
the relief for the work and ^would get the anproval of the Mayor who he might get to work.

The Mayor was to see Gene Hughes about the City Judge's -job
here in the city and find out from him'if he was going to stay
in town to handle the job, and also Mr. Dillon Smith Couihty
Commissioner was to be told of this and see if the Commissioner
Court could doW'tout the Justice of the Peace job that Gene
Hughes hold also.
Ray McCldndon was to meet with the Council August 18, 1958
to tell of the training he received at A&M as Ass't Fire Marshall,
Have Mr, WW Keith to check transformer bank behind the
Show and see if it is alright.
Miss Winnie Seal
Secretary was to contact and see what kind of deal he could
work out with her about working about 4 hours a day' in the office.
A motion by Acker, seconded by Cooper to adjourn, motion c .rried.

The City Council rnet in regular session on the above date
those present were Mayor Wilsnn, Councilmen Brown, Acker, Seely,
Windle, and Cooper.
The minutes of the previous meeting; was read and approved.
The Justice of the Peace and City Judge job was discussed.
Ray McClendon met with the Council and discussed with them
the training he received at the Fireman's School M A.& M.
College at Bryan, Tarxas. The council was to try and KNKdCX get
some of the reccomendations done to improve our insurance rate
for the City of Sanger.
If a 14" water tap was ,.needed by any kind of business that
was t o come t o town the tap would be ma . by rent ing macti,ine
or hiring some one to do t his.
A street light was to be put up by Joe B. Howard in the
southwest part of t
