01/16/1961-CC-Minutes-Regularq January 3, 1961 The City Council met in regular session♦ s• and Councilmen Acker, Brown, and Seely present. Minutes were read and approved® A letter of appreciation was read from the employees of the city in appreciation of the bonus given them for Christman. Motion was made by Seely and seconded by Brown that bills amounting to $767.48 be paid. Motion carried. It was decided that the City would run a water line to the Gheen, Batis, and Brooks farms South of town, running 100 feet per customer with meter on end of lines. Motion carried. m January 1G, 19G1 w JANUARY 16, 1961 The City Council met in regular session with Rayor Vilsoxx axed Co7zacil® men Aelcer, Vindle, Seely, Cooper, and Brown present, Oscar Vaughan met with the council to ask for the relief job at the plant. R otioxx was made by Cooper axed seconded by Seely that he be given the relief job at $100.00 per month, three days a week and vacation time. Motion carried. Motion was made by Acker and seconded by Seely that J. P. HAMPTON be paid $10.00 per month for taking care of the fire trucks. Motion carried. Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Acker that a 2" fire plug he placed at Willie MCCARTHY'S City Secretary McClendon was authorized to pay Ben Harvey, Major Moore axed Bill Switzer sixty eil ght cents per foot for refund,. on water line. o Diotion `vas made by Cooper, and seconded by Vindle that the BUFFER BE bought. Motion carried° Mayor pro tom March 6, 1961 The City Council met in regular session with the Mayor Vison and Councilmen Cooper, Acker, a Windle, and Seely present° Motion was made by Acicer and seconded by Seely that bills of 963°2C be paid° Motion Carried. The City Secretary was instructed to see about moving the Fire Siren from the Schertz building to another 1®cation° Willie K. Pate, President of the Chamber of Commerce met with the Council and aslced for assistance from the Council in getting the Exit road off of Eii-way 3b south of torn changed. Councilman Cooper and Pate were instructed to see the highway Dept. about the above exit road and also about speed limit signs on the Bolivar road°
