It is clear from the many comments received that a significant need exists for specialized train- ing and workshop sessions for small cities Due to the large number of elected officials and Planning Commission - members who hold full time jobs, the decision was made to schedule the workshop for an evening, even though the time frame will be more limited as a result We feel that an evening session will allow greater participation from each City. I believe that as you examine the attached program, you will find a well planned agenda that should provide all participants with a broad overview of the planning and zoning processes. I am particularly pleased that we have been able to receive commitments from such highly capable and well respected speakers. The format will be devoted to short presentations followed by exten- sive question and answer periods This should enable us to deal more a -directly with the concerns of individual cities and make the session much more productive for you ate :' a "-s-q-`A x ' ;-, ,.- - , „ M 1 6 " f' - r° } Again,„thank you for the`'interest, you have -shown.- The attached pro-,:-4, , gram will provide you with all pertinent details, while the attached _--", registration form needs to be returned as soon as possible so that we_can make all necessary arrangements r _ _ If I can answer any questions, or provide additonal information, - T - _ - µplease feel free to contact me at 214-782-6151. f ry S1 rely, Ron Holifield, t -eN, w 7 City Manager Attach. s n w k S.
