Dick Ready, tkz one of the incoming councilmen, w4s added to the water
and sewer committee.
Ilotion was made by Cooper and seconded by Easley to;pay the night-
watchman $35.00 car expense because of carrying out--the-dog ordinance.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by Spratt and seconded by Ready to raise Junior
Denison's salary 825.00, also he is to have charge over all outside
work. Motion carried.

Motion was made by Acker and seconded by Spratt ,to have Mr. ]iller of
Brazos Electric make changes in the original contract and send to the
Council, also to have him call Mr..Sullivan, the city attorney.
Motion carried.
Afotion was made by' -Easley and seconded by Cooper that the secretary
get bids on the water and electric lines to be run for the new gin.
Atotrion carried.
It was decided to buy and ad for the PTA cook book.
Motion by Cooper and seconded by Spratt to adjourn. Motion carried.

The City Council. met in a called meeting with Mayor Lewis. and Council-
men Cooper,'Acker, Easley, and Ready present. John Sullivan, city
attorney was also present.
The meeting was called to study the Brazos Electric Cooperative con-
tract. sir. Sullivan explained the contract and answered 'questions as
to his understanding of 'same.
Motion was' .made by Easley and seconded by Acker that the council
accept the contract AS presern'ed by Brazos Electric, if`completion
date can be agreed upon, (60 day with a maximum of 90 days;
All the councilment were for the contract.
Motion was made by Easley and seconded by Spratt to have Jack BOWMAN
start work on the water line to new gin. Motion carried.
PJotion by Easley and seconded by Spratt to have Joe Batis build
power line from plant to new gin. Motion carried.
Motion by Cooper and seconded by Easley to have Bill Carter put
police signs on his ear. Motion carried. F
