LIGHT PLANT OPERATION DISCUSSED SHIFT CHANGE 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
TO 4:00 APM - 12 MIDNIGHT, AND 12 MIDNIGHT TO 8:00 AM
Councilhe City met session . Lewis, and

Minutes were read and approved.
Motion was made by Spratt and seconded by Cooper that bills be
paid. Motion carried.
The light plant operation was discussed and tt was decided to change
the shift hours to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 4 p.m. to 12 midnight' and 12
midnight to 8 a.m.. The City Secretary was instructed to talk to
the plant employees about the hour change' instructing them that
this is to go into effect July 1514. Oscar Vaughan was to be offer®
ed the night shift.
Motion was made by Ready and seconded by Spratt to adjourn.. Motion
carried.
July 15, 1963
The City Council met in regular session with May or Lewis and
Councilmen Acker, Spratt, Cooper, Ready, and Gentle present.
Minutes were read and approved.
All Carter, City Marshall, met with the council to discuss
routine law enforcement.
Dwight Howard was hired to fill the place left vacant by the
resignation of Frank Owens. He was to start with a salary of
225.00 per month..
Mayor Lewis and Secretary McClendon were selected to hire a
man for work at the plant.
It was decided after much discussion to sendGuy Bennett and
