1.Call Meeting to Order, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance.
Mayor Muir called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.Councilman Martin led the
Invocation followed by Councilman Ezell leading the Pledge of Allegiance.
2.Citizens Input:
(Citizens are allowed 3 minutes to speak. The City Council is unable to respond or to discuss
any issues brought up during this section).
None.
CONSENT AGENDA
3.a) Approval of Minutes:February 3, 2014 -Council Meeting
b) Disbursements
Councilman Ezell made a motion to approve. Seconded by Councilman Stephens.
Motion carried unanimously.
4. Consider any Items Removed From Consent Agenda
None.
REGULAR AGENDA
5.Discuss, Consider and Possibly Approve Ordinance #02-01-14 -Ordering and
Providing Notice of a General Election for the Purpose of Electing a Mayor,
Councilmember Place 2, Councilmember Place 4 and Approving a Joint Election
Agreement and Contract With Denton County for Election Services.
Councilman Martin made a motion to approve. Seconded by Councilman Stephens.
Motion carried unanimously.
6.Discuss, Consider and Possibly Approve Ordinance #02-02-14 -Amending Article
7.000, Park and Recreation Fees,by Adding Section 7.105 Advertising, in Appendix
A "Fee Schedule" of the Code of Ordinances to Reflect Sign Advertising on all Ball
Field Scoreboards.
City Manager advised that the Parks Board recommended this change last summer
and now needs to be added to the fee schedule only.
Councilman Stephens made a motion to approve. Seconded by Councilman Martin.
Motion carried unanimously.
7.Conduct a Public Hearing Regarding a Request to use Alternative Exterior Building
Materials and/or Design for a Proposed Structure (Metal Carport) at 2512 Chippewa
Trail.
Mayor Muir opened the Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m.
Don Lovell, 2512 Chippewa,spoke about building an 18' wide x 41'long metal cover for
his rv.The front would be open and the sides and the back would be closed.There is
currently a shop on his property and the new one would be built approximately 6 to 8
feet next to it.
Mayor Muir closed the Public Hearing at 7:15 p.m.
8.Consider, Discuss and Possibly Approve the use of Alternative Exterior Building
Materials and/or Design for a Proposed Structure (Metal Carport) at 2512 Chippewa
Trail.
Jerry Jenkins, 2507 Chippewa,didn't object to what Mr. Lovell was requesting, but
was concerned about additional parking ordinance and deed restriction violations in
that subdivision and the color of the metal. He also inquired about the 40% rule which
he stated that someone can't cover over 40% of the surface.
Councilman Bilyeu made a motion to approve with the understanding that it will be in
compliance with the parking ordinance. Seconded by Councilman Stephens.Motion
carried unanimously.
9.Consider, Discuss and Possibly Approve the Final Plat of Lots 1R-1 and 1R-2 of
Bubba's Ranch, Being a Replat of Lot 1 of Bubba's Ranch, Being 2.317 Acres in the R.
Bebee Survey A-29, Located at the Intersection of Union Hill Road and Lake Ray
Roberts Drive.
Councilman Martin made a motion to approve. Seconded by Councilman Chick.
Motion carried unanimously.
10. Consider, Discuss and Possibly Approve Replat of Lots 1R-1, 1R-2 and 1R-3 of Block
48, Original Town of Sanger, Located on the South Side of Plum Street Between 5th
and 6th Street.
Councilman Bilyeu made a motion to approve. Seconded by Councilman Martin.
Motion carried unanimously.
