Councilmen Pate, Ready, Cooper, and Acker present
Minutes were read and approved.
Motion was made by Cooper and Seconded by Pate that bills be
paid.' Motion carried.
The Mayor explained the called meeting of July 27th concerning
the hiring of someone to fill the place of City Secretary while
Ray McCle ndon is ill®
Motion was made by Ready and seconded by Cooper that Ross Anderson
be elected to this place temporarily, at the same salary as Ray
Ls drawing" and Winnie Seal be Assistant Secretary. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Ready to raise the
salaries of Seal, Denison, and Howard, $15.00 per month. Motion
carried.
Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by fate that Ross ,Anderson
be authorized t6 sign allchecks and that the bank be notified of
this action. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Cooper to adjourn, and was second, d by Acker.

re read and approved.
Johnny Coker met with the council to discuss the use of a pump
the city has for sale. 1t was agreed that a pump belonging to
the city, that is not in use and now stored with Gene Tumlison,
be sold to the Cemetery .Association for the sum of ,1.00.
Robert Courtney and J. W. Bucklew met with the council showing a
plat of the lkxkx Bucklew sub®division, and it was agreed that
they use a 2" pipe in this division, preferably cast iron pipe,
