12/16/1968-CC-Minutes-Regular1 0 8 December 16, 1968 The City Council met inregular session with Mayor Johnson and Council- men Cooper$ Acker, Gentle' and Ready.b Pate was not present. Mr. Bill Kimsey of Burroughs Corporation was present to discuss a new billing machine for the office. The council decided to table this pro® jact at the time. ° Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Thenightwatching of Jerry Mitchell was discussed and Motion was made by Cooper an and deconded by Ready to let Mitchell go and let Wayman Waide take the Saturday night job. Motion carried. j Deposits on cafes opening up in %he future was discussed and motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Acker,to raise deposits on cafes to 50.00. Motion carried. The Council asked Secretary Anderson to write Mrs. Clingen and ask her to put up all deposits on the Sanger Apartments or raise the deposits to 25.00. The Council voted to give I;he city employees $15.00 for Christmas. Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by,Ready to adjourn. Motion carried. la4ay®r City Secretary v V January 69 1969 The City Couacil met in regular session with Mayor Johnson and Council- men Cooper, Acker, Pate, and Gentle being present. Ready was absent due to illness. Mr. Sturdevant met the the council and slides taken at Seymour were shown and explained that this is what the city needed to change to 4160 volts. The council asked Mr. Sturdevant to let them see about finances and he agreed. Minutes were read and approved. The bills were read and motion was made by Mr. Acker and seconded by Mr. Gentle to pay balls. Motion carried. City Secretary Anderson asked the council that 02000.00 be transferred from the tax sinking fund to the -general fund. Motion was made by Cooper and seconded by Acker to do so and motion carried. Since the sewer and sanitation were not paying their way Motion was made by Pate and seconded by Cooper to raise residents sanitation from $1.00 to $1.50 and business houses from H $1.50 to $3,00, Motion carried.
