Alton L. Johnson were elected alderman.
The Council met with Mr. Sturdivant of Brazos, John L. Sullivan, City
Attorney, and A4esara. Hortzman and Elmore of Westinghouse to ®pen bide on
electrical equipment at the plant switch board. Westinghouse Electric
Supply had the low and complete bid of $12,309.71. Motion was made by
Acker and seconded by Ready to accept this bid. Motion carried.

The City Council met in a called meeting. Present were Mayor Johnson,
and Councilmen Cook, McDaniel, Johnson, and Ready. Couneilman,Acker was
absent. Purpose of the weeting was a hearing on rezoning of Block 3 in the
Hughes Addition bounded on the south by Hughes Street, on the Nest by 1P
Street., on the North by Waide Herd and the Mrs. Tatum property, and on
the East by an alley. Motion was made by Ready and seconded'by Cook to
accept the recommendation of the Zoning Commission to change from single v
dwelling to double family dwelling. Motion carried. e and Motion was
