The City Council met in a called Meeting to seta date for a public
hearing on the rezoning of Lots 1 & 2 in Block 3 of the Hughes
Addition.
Motion was made by Gentle and seconded by Acker to have Sze hearing
April 15, 1969. Motion carried.

The City Coufficil met in regular session to canvas the ballots of the
City Election held on April 5, 1969 and the results were as follows:

Mr. C. F. Johnson was elected mayor and Mrs. McDaniel' Norman Cook, and
Alton L. Johnson were elected alderman.
Minutes of the previous meetings were read and approved.
The Council met with Mr. Sturdivant of Brazos, John L. Sullivan, City
Attorney, and Messrs. Hortzman and Elmore of Westinghouse to open bids on
electrical equipment at the plant switch board. Westinghouse Electric
Supply had the low and complete bid of $12,309.71. Motion was made by
Acker and seconded by Ready to accept this bid. Motion carried.

April 15, 1969
The City Council met in a called meeting. Present were Mayor Johnson,
and Councilmen Cook, McDaniel, Johnson, and Ready. Councilman.Acker was
absent. Purpose of the meeting was a hearing on rezoning of Block 3 in the
Hughes Addition bounded on the south by Hughes Street, on the Nest by 130�
Street., on the North by Waide Herd and the Mrs. Tatum property, and on
the East by an alley. Motion was made by Ready and seconded'by Cock to
accept the recommendation of the Zoning Commission to chahgefrom single
dwelling to double family dwelling. Motion carried.
The Council discussed the purchase of a new billing machine and Motion was
made by Johnson and seconded by Cook to get the machine through the bank.

The City Council met in regular session with Mayor Johnson and
Councilmen Acker, Johnson' Cooky Ready and McDaniel present.
Minutes were read and approved. Bills were read and Motion was
made by Acker and seconded by Ready to pay bills. Motion carried.

carried.
