1.Call Meeting to Order.
Mayor Muir called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.
2.Presentation on Wage Survey by Wellspring.
Rodney Dryden spoke about the current benefits that the City provides which
includes health, dental, life and most recently,vision insurance.He felt that the
benefits are competitive to comparable cities, however, he advised that a little over
half of the cities in the survey offer long term disability and recommended that
consideration be given to provide that.
Vonda Smith spoke about the wage survey that the ten cities listed below
participated in.
Anna -population 8,595 Azle -population 11,170
Bridgeport -population 6,045 Bowie -population 5,215
Denton -population 117,187 Carrollton -population 121,000
Granbury -population 7,987 Gainesville -population 15,984
Weatherford -population 25,557 Granbury -population 7,987
Joshua -population 5,982
She felt that the pay is competitive with the market when comparing individual
salaries to market averages (not including Fire and Police) and recommended an
across the board 2% pay adjustment to all employees to keep up with the pay
increases from other municipalities.
