1.Call Meeting to Order.
Mayor Muir called the meeting to order at 6:47 p.m.
2.Consider, Discuss and Possibly Approve Emergency Repairs to the Utility Road
Water Well and Authorizing the Enterprise Fund Balance and Declaring an
Emergency.
City Manager advised that we lost the well three weeks ago.The casing needs to be
repaired to keep sand from infiltrating the well.Sand has damaged the pump and
now the pump needs replaced.The motor is twelve years old and is past it's useful
life.
City Manager stated that the City Council needs to declare this an emergency
because this is the largest volume producing well and we will be unable to meet
summer demand without it. The City Manager also advised that there was not
sufficient funds in the current budget to cover the repair and the Enterprise Fund
would need to be used and the budget amended for unforeseen emergency repair.
T H I Water Well Services can begin in two weeks and it will take approximately
one week to complete.
Councilman Ezell made a motion to declare an emergency and authorize emergency
repairs under Local Government Code 252.022 (a) (2), (3).Seconded by
Councilman Martin. Motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Muir adjourned the meeting at 6:56 p.m.
