08-12-12-Ordinance-Authorizing the Sale of Land abutting Bolivar Water Supply Corporation Warranty Deed-08/20/2012ORDINANCE 08-12-12 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING SALE OF A STRIP OF LAND AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", TO THE ABUTTING OWNER, BOLIVAR WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION, IN CONSIDERATION OF CASH PAYMENT OF $1,350,00; PROVIDING FOR THE FURNISHING OF A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED FOR RECORDING IN THE REAL PROPERTY RECORDS OF ,DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas, has determined that a certain strip of land, as described and depicted in Exhibit "A", is not needed or necessary for public purposes by the City and should be sold to the abutting owner for a cash consideration; Now, Therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Council f the City of Sanger hereby fmds and determines that a narrow strip of land owned by the City, being 0.010 acre of land and being more particularly described and depicted in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, the same as if fiilly copied herein, in the City of Sanger, Denton County, Texas, because of its small area cannot be used independently and is not needed or necessary for public purposes. SECTION 2. The City has obtained an appraisal of the fair market value of the strip of f arp, v land described herein. Upon receipt of a cash consideration of $ 'L3SO.8it, the City Manager is authorized to execute and deliver to Bolivar Water Supply Corporation, the abutting owner to said strip, a special wai7anty deed to the land described in Exhibit "A", such deed to be recorded in the real property records of Denton County, Texas, as the conveyance deed of the City of Sanger. The approved foam of such special warranty deed is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof for all purposes, the same as if fiilly copied herein. SECTION 3.
