ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, DENTON COUNTY
TEXAS REQUIRING A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE IN CITY
ELECTIONS TO DECLARE CANDIDACY THIRTY (30) DAYS IN
ADVANCE OF THE DATE OF ELECTION

the promotion of the general welfare of the community to carry out the
governmental powers delegated to and possessed by the City of Sanger,
Denton County, Texas, Now Therefore•,
Le It Urclainerl Eiy The City Council of The City of Sanger, Texas:
SECTION 1_ Any QUALIFIED elector of the City, who is otherwise
c}ualified, in order to be entitled to stand for election as a write-in
candidate, must file with the Mayor a DECLARATION of write-in
candidacy not later than the thirtieth (30th) day prior to the
election date. The declaration of write-in candidacy must meet the
game requirements as an application for a place on the ballot.
SECTION 2: This ordinance shall take effect a.nd b > in force from and
after the passage and approval by the City Council of the City of
Sanger, Denton County, Texas, as required by law.
