019-87-Ordinance-Amending Utility Billing Procedures Delinquent Account-10/05/1987CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. #019-87 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 14 OF THE CITY OF SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES ENTITLED UTILITY BILLING PROCEDURES; MORE SPECIFICALLY SUBSECTION C, ENTITLED SERVICE TO BE DISCONTINUED WHEN DELINQUENT; ESTABLISHING A NEW FEE; PROVIDING FOR A REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS THAT: Subsection C of Section 6, Chapter 10 is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION I C. SERVICE TO BE DISCONTINUED WHEN DELINQUENT Service may be discontinued, upon to customers having past due bills day of the month. SECTION IV Whenever in this Ordinance an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever in such Ordinance, the doing of an act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation of any such provision shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00); provided, however, that no penalty shall be greater or less than the penalty provided for the same or CITY SECRETARY ORIGINAL COPY similar offense under the laws of the State.
