85-7-Ordinance-Annexing 26.743 Acres Henry Tierwester Survey-05/06/1985No. 85-7 CITY SECRET ORIGINAL COPY 1632PAGE739 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS; BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 26.743 ACRES OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING PART OF THE HENRY TIER W ESTER SURVEY, ABSTRACT N0, 1241, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS; CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas, on the petition of the City of Sanger, Texas; and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on the lst day of April, 1985 in the Council Chambers for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance; and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on the 154-h day of April, 1985 in the Council Chambers for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance;. and WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full at least one time in the official newspaper of the City of Sanger, Texas, prior to its effective date, and after the public hearings; NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS:. SECTION I. That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Sanger, Texas, and the same is made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present and future inhabitants thereof shall "be entitled to all the rights -and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which may hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall be subject to and shall bear its prorata part of the taxes levied by the City. tract of land hereby annexed is described as follows, to -wit: PAGE ONE The VGL 1 32PAGE74 Being a 26.743 acre tract of land located adjacent to the western city limit.boundary of the City of Sanger, Texas, situated in the Henry Tierwester,Survey, Abstract No. 1241, Denton County, Texas, as recorded in Volume 154, Page 118, D.R.D.C.T., more particularly described as follows: - BEGINNING at`.°the intersection of the centerlines of Duck Creek Road and.Keaton Road, said point being on the western boundary of the City of Sanger. and also being the southeast corner of said 26.743 acre tract* THENCK North 88`degrees 53 minutes 42 seconds West along the center- line of Duck Creek Road 1482.48 feet to a point; THENCE North 01 degrees 38 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 386.40 feet to a point; THENCE North 59 degrees 22 minutes 10 seconds East a distance of 385.25 feet to a point; THENCE North 00 degrees 44 minutes 10 seconds East a distance of 276.99 feet to a point; THENCE South 89 degrees 34 minutes 20 seconds East a distance of 1151.60 feet to the centerline of Keaton Road, also being the western city boundary; THENCE South Ol degrees 00 minutes 32 seconds West along the center- line of Keaton Road 879.62 feet, returning to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 26.743 acres, more or less. SECTION II. The above described property is hereby classified as Singh:Fi�,i�ily Residential District and shall so appear on the official zoning map of the City of Sanger, Texas, which map is hereby amended accordingly. 1985.
