AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 1-20-72, A SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, BY AUTHORIZING
THE CITY COUNCIL TO GRANT VARIANCES FROM THE PROVISIONS OF SAID
SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SAID
ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINS® BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEAS;
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1-20-72 of the Ordinances of the City of Sanger,
adopted on January 20, 1972, being the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Sanger,
be, and the same is hereby amended by adding an additional Article 6-1, said Article 6-1
to provide as follows, to -wit:
"Article 6-1 VARIANCES
That the City Council may authorize a variance from these
regulations when, in its opinion, undue hardship will result
from requiring strict compliance. In granting a variance, the
City Council shall take into account the nature of the
proposed use of land involved and existing uses of land in
the vicinity, and the probable effect of such variances upon
traffic conditions and upon the public health, safety,
convenience and welfare in the vicinity. The City Council
may not authorize a variance that would constitute a violation
of any other valid ordinance of the City of Sanger."
SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after
its passage, as the law in such ease provides.
