86-21-Ordinance-Annexing 5.0 acres in Henry Tierwester Survey A1241-09/15/1986VOL 1987 PAGE 765 57505 ORDINANCE 86-21 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS; ALL THAT CERTAIN TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND SITUATED IN DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING PART OF THE HENRY TIERWESTER SURVEY, A-1241, AND BEING PART OF A 90 ACRE TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED IN A DEED FROM S. G. KEETON TO R. M. COLE AND WIFE, DATED AUGUST 11, 1955, RECORDED IN VOLUME 412, PAGE 567, DEED RECORDS OF DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS; CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS R-1, SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT PROPERTY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas, on the petition of the City of Sanger, Texas, and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on the 2nd day of September, 1986 in the Council Chambers for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance, and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on the 15th day of September, 1986 in the Council Chambers for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance; and WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full at least one time in the official newspaper of the City of Sanger, Texas, prior to its effective date, and after the public hearings, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Sanger, Texas, and the same is made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present and future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City nowftjw in-effect or which may hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall be subject to and shall bear its prorata part of the taxes levied by the City. The tract of land hereby armexed is described as follows, to -wit: CITY SECRETARY ++ 6: ORIGINAL COPY All that certain tract or parcel of la,lying and situated in Denton County, Texas, and being part of the Henry Tierwester Survey, A-1241, and being part of a 90 acre tract of land described in a deed from S. G. Keeton to R.M. Cole and wife, dated August 11, 1955, rec-oxded- n o lume-412- - Page 567, Deed Records of -Denton County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING in the East line of saiV90 were tract ip the center of a road running North and South, 11331.62feet SoUth of its Northeast corner, and at the southeast corner of, a 12, acre tract described in a deed from R. M. Cole to Olen Higgs dated October 26, 19651 THENCE South 178.2 feet along the East line of said 90 acre tract for corner; THENCE West parallel to the South line of said 12 acre tract, 1222 feet for corner in west line of said 90 acre tract; THENCE North 178.2 feet to the southwest corner of said 12 acre tract; THENCE East along the south line of said 12 acre tract, 1222 feet VOL.1987PAGE 7 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Tract contains approximately 5.000 acres. SECTION II. The above described property is hereby classified as R-1, Single Family District and shall so appear on the official zoning map of the City of Sanger, Texas, which map is hereby amended accordingly. SECTION III. This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage.
