86-25-Ordinance-Annexing property Block 1, Lots 1-6-10/20/1986CITY SECRETARY ORDINANCE NO. 86-25 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS; ALL THAT CERTAIN 83.407 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED IN THE M. R. BURLESON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 71, McKINNEY AND WILLIAMS SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 940; F. JAMIE SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 664, AND THE W. G. HUDSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 562, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS; SAIDTRACT BEING PART OF A 100 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO JACK E. BROOKS BY G. W. McDANIEL AND WIFE, EULALIA, AS SHOWN BY DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 331, PAGE 120, DEED RECORDS OF DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS AGRICULTURE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas, on the petition of the City of Sanger, Texas; and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on the 6th day of October, 1986 in the Council Chambers for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordinance; and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on the 20th day of October, 1986 in the Council Chambers for all interested persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation pro- vided by this ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION I. That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Sanger, Texas, and the same is made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present and future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which may hereafter be enacted anA the property situated therein shall, be subject to and shall bear its prorata part of the taxes levied by the City. - - - The- tract .of land hereby annexed is described -as follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of City of Sanger Park at an iron pin on the West Boundary line of the C. G. & S. F. R. R. Co., and the South Boundary line of the H. Tierwester Survey, Abstract No. 1241 and being the Northeast corner of the First Tract of said Jack E. Brooks Tract; THENCE South 050 East with West Right -of -Way of the G. C. & S. F. R. R. 1790.5 feet to an iron pin, the Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed by Alma Kathleen Brooks, a femme sole, to Joe E. Batis on April 26, 1957, and being recorded in VOLUME 429, PAGE 92, Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, CITY SECRETARY ORIGINAL COPY THENCE North 88° 40 40 West with a fence and passing Northwest corner of said Batis Tract and the Southeast of said Brooks 100 acre tract at 2705.2 feet passing an pin set in a fence on the East Right -of -Way of Old U.S. continuing in all 2735.2 feet to the Centerline of said Hwy 77 and the Southwest corner of said 100 acre tract, the corner iron Hwy 77, U.S. THENCE North 00° 03 30 East with said Centerline and West Boundary line of said 100 acre tract, 608.1 feet to the South- west corner of a 15 acre tract of land conveyed by Alma Kathleen Brooks, a feme sole, to A. H. Yeatts and wife, Flora E. Yeatts, on January 24, 1968, and being recorded in VOLUME 562, Page 106 of Deed Records; THENCE South 89 22' 40" East, passing at 30 feet, a steel fence post on the East Right -of -Way of said U.S. Hwy 77, continuing with a fence along the South Boundary line of said Yeatts Tract, a total distance of 913.8 feet to a fence corner, the Southeast corner of said Yeatts Tract, THENCE North 00° 30' 30" East with East .Boundary line said Yeatts Tract and the East Boundary line of an 8.448 acre tract of land conveyed by Alma Kathleen Brooks, a feme sole, to W. R. Morrow and wife Pearl Morrow, on August 5, 1961, and recorded in VOLUME 471, PAGE 412, Deed Records, Denton County, Texas, 1133.75 feet to an iron pin, the North- east corner of said Morrow Tract and on the South Boundary Line of said Tierwester Survey, THENCE South 891.37' East Tierwester Surven y ad with OF BEGINNING. SECTION II. ith wsaid South Boundary line, a fence 1654.1 feet to the PLACE The above described property is hereby classified as Agriculture, and shall so appear on the officials zoning map of the City of Sanger, Texas, which map is hereby amended accordingly.
