83-6-Ordinance-Amending the Electric Connection Utility Rates-06/27/1983CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO 83-6_ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 6 OF THE CODE OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, ENTITLED SANGER ELECTRIC SYSTEM ELECTRIC SERVICE CONNECTIONS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS: SECTION I THAT CHAPTER 10, SECTION 6 OP THE SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 6: ELECTRIC SERVICE CONNECTIONS Electrical service connection fees shall be as follows: CONNECTFEE------------------------------------------------------ $25.00 For all new customers and any customer moving within the system. TEMPORARY SERVICE FEE --------------- Paid upon request of service by contractor or builder. RECONNECT FEE -------------------------- To customer who is disconnected for nonpayment and reconnected or customer requesting disconnect for remodeling or upgrading electrical wiring. SERVICE FEE__________________________-_ When seal is broken on meter without prior notification of Sanger Electric System or trouble call where such call is necessitated by failure of customer's equipment or apparatus. SERVICE FEE - AFTER HOURS ------`- -------- ---- $Pei WALCop%r Reconnect or trouble call on customer (necessitated by failure of customer's equipment or apparatus) after regular hours, weekend or holidays. RETURNED CHECK FEE NEW RESIDENTIAL SERVICE FEE ------------- Paid upon request of permanent service. NEW 1¢ OR 3 D SMALL COMMERCIAL SERVICE FEE------- "`-- For new installation or upgrading of existing service, standard secondary voltage, 75 KVA load or less. ____________ 6.70 per NEW 10 OR 3 i LAROE COMMERCIAL OR INDUSTRIAL FEE 1/3 of Connected SECTION TI All Qrdinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION III KVA It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases of this Ordinance are severable and, if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section of this Ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining sse uch unconstitutionality shahs nandaffectot sectionsyo£fthis Ordinance,phrasinces, clauses, sentences, paragrap , the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this Ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph, or section. SECTION IV Whenever in this Ordinance an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever in such Ordinance, the doing of an act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation of any such provision shall be punished of not exceeding Two Hundred ($ Dollars; provided, however, that no penalty shall be greater or i ilar offense under less than the penalty provided for the same or s m the laws of the State. Each day any violation of this Ordinance shall continue shall constitute a separate offense.
