ORDINANCE NO. 83-13
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF SANGER,
TEXAS, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, CERTAIN LANDS
SITUATED IN DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, ADJACENT
AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY LIMITS OF SANGER,
TEXAS, DESCRIBING SAID ANNEXED TERRITORY BY
METES AND BOUNDS, AND PRESCRIBING THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described territory lies within
the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Sanger, Texas,
a municipal corporation, as provided by law, and said land, when
annexed to the City of Sanger, Texas, taken together with all
other land presently within the City Limits of Sanger, Texas,
will not exceed authorized territorial limits of the said City
of Sanger, Texas, as provided by law, and the City Council of the
City of Sanger, Texas, has determined that such annexation is
proper and in the best interests of the City of Sanger, Texas, and
its inhabitants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANGER, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.
The hereinafter described territory, lying and being situated
in Denton County, Texas, adjacent and contiguous to the incorporated
Limits of the City of Sanger, Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
All of that certain 2.491 acres of land, a part
of the Henry Tierwester Survey, Abstract Number 1241 in
Denton County, Texas, and being part of land conveyed to
Rice by deeds of record in Volume 851, page 106, and in
Volume 736, page 620, in the deed records of said county,
and
BEGINNING at an iron pin found in the Southline
of Duck Creek Road at the Northwest corner of the land
described in deed of record in Volume 851, page 106,
mentioned above, for Northwest corner of this;
THENCE South 89 degrees 25 minutes East 169.02
feet with the South line of said road to an iron pin set
at the Northwest corner of a tract conveyed to David
Ballinger by deed of record in Volume 889, page 861, in
said deed records for Northerly Northeast corner of this;
THENCE South Ol degree 26 minutes East 128.22 feet
to an iron in set for Southwest corner of said Ballinger
tract and an internal corner of this,
THENCE South 89 degrees 11 minutes 12 seconds
East 169.86 feet to an iron in set for he Southeast
corner of said Ballinger tract and Easterly Northeast
corner of this,
THENCE South 01 degree 40 minutes '45 seconds
East 257.50 feet with fence to iron pin fund for South-
east corner of the tract described in V ume 736, page
620, mentioned above, for Southeast corner of this,

THENCE North 88 degrees 54 minutes 14 seconds
West 339.30 feet, mostly along fence to an iron pin at
the Southwest corner of the tract described in Volume 851,
page 106, mentioned above, for Southwest corner of this;
THENCE North 01 degree 33 minutes West 383.35 feet

shall be and the same is hereby annexed to the said Ci y o Sanger,
Texas, a municipal corporation, and said land and territory shall
hereafter be and constitute a part of the said City of Sanger,
Texas, and all present and future inhabitants of said annexed
territory shall be subject to all ordinances of said City of
Sanger, Texas, now in force or hereafter adopted, and shall
have, hold, and possess, all rights, duties,, and obligations
held and possessed by all other inhabitants of..said City of Sanger,
Texas, and all taxable property is said annexed area shall bear
its pro -rates part of all taxes levied, assessed, and collected
by said City of Sanger, Texas.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its
passage, as set forth below.
