ORDINANCE NO. 81-10
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF BANGER
TEXAS, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, 33.870 ACRES
OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, ADJACENT AND CON-
TIGUOUS TO THE CITY LIMITS OF BANGER, TEXAS,
DESCRIBING SAID ANNEXED TERRITORY BY METES
AND BOUNDS, AND PRESCRIBING THE EFFECTIVE
DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. _
WHEREAS, pursuant to tE® Rprovisions of Article 974g,
Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, and the Municipal Annexation
Laws of the State of Texas, the owner of the hereinafter
described land, which is vacant and without residents,
adjoining and being contiguous to .the City Limits of the
City of Sanger, Texas, a municipal corporation, aggregating
33.870 acres of land, more or less, and b. :img;-1e s, ah:an
one-half (1/2) mile in width, described by metes and bounds
herein below, presented a petition in writing to the City
Council of the said City of Sanger, Texas, duly signed by all
of the said owners of said lands, properly acknowledged as
provided by law, for the annexation of said territory by
ordinance to the said City of Sanger, Texas; and -
WHEREAS, said petition is in due and proper form, and in
compliance with law, and the above mentioned territory, herein
below described by metes and bounds, when annexed, taken
together with all other land presently within the City Limits
of said City of Sanger, Texas, will not exceed authorized
territorial limits of the said City of Sanger, Texas, as

provided by law; and -
Whereas, the governing body of said City of Sanger did,
within no less than five (5) days and not more than thirty (30)
days after the filing of said petition, hear such petition and
grant the same, and all conditions precedent to such annexation
required by law have been heretofore fully complied with;

.NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BANGER, 'TE AS:F - T -IAT':E`
SECTION 1.
The hereinafter described land, lying and being situated
in Denton County, Texas, adjacent and contiguous to the City
Limits of the City of Sanger, Texas, to -wit;
All that certain tract or parcel of land situated
in the W.P. Johnston Survey, Abstract 682, the
G.T. Key Survey, Abstract 717, and the H. Tierwester
Survey Abstract 1241, Denton County, Texas, being
part of a (called) 90.0 acre tract conveyed by
S.F. Keeton to R. M. Cole, et ux, on August 11,
1955, recorded in Volume 412, page 567, Deed Records
of said County, and being more particularly described
as follows;
BEGINNING, at a fence corner at the Southwest
corner of said 90 acres Cole tract;
THENCE North with a fence and passing the North
boundary line of said Key Survey, which is the
South boundary line of said Tierwester Survey,
a distance of 1201.2 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE North 89 deg. 49 min. 30 sec. East with
a fence 1225.3 feet to a fence corner on the West
line of a public road;
THEidCE South O deg_ 26 min. East with said fence
and said road and passing the South boundary line
of said Tierwester Survey, which is the. : Tof th
boundary line of said Johnston survey part of the
way 1198.14 feet to a fence corner;
THENCE South 89 deg. 41 min. West with a fence
and crossing the West boundary line of said Johnston
Survey which is the East boundary line of said Key
Survey a distance of 1234.4 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING, and cont-a-in;rig in all 33.870 acres of
land, as surveyed on the ground on February 17, 1972,
by C, F. Ballard, Ballard & Nash, Inc., Consulting
Engineers and Surveyors, Denton, Texas.
aggregating 33.870 acres of -land, more or less, shall be and
the same is hereby. annexed to the said City of Sanger, Texas, and
said land and territory shall hereafter be a part of the said
City of Sanger, Texas, a municipal corporation, and all future
inhabitants of said annexed territory, now vacant and unoccupied,
shall besubject to all ordinances of said City of Sanger, Texas,

now in force or hereinafter adopted, and shall have, hold,
and possess, all rights, duties, and obligations held and
possessed by all other inhabitants of said City of Sanger, Texas;;,
and all taxable property in said annexed area shall bear its
pro-rata part of all taxes levied, assessed, and collected
by said City of Sanger, Texas.
SECTION 2.
.This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its
passage, as set forth below.

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION:
We, the undersigned, are all of the owners of the land
described in Exhibit "A" attached herto. Said land does not
exceed one-half (z) mile in width, and is contiguous to and
adjacent to the present City limits of the City of Sanger, Texas,
an incorporated city in Denton County, Texas.
We, and each of us, further hereby petition the City Council of
the said City of Sanger, Texas, to annex said territory by Ordinance
to the said City of Sanger, Texas, a municipal corporation, as
authorized by Article 974G, of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
and the Municipal Annexation -Acts of the State of Texas.
The above described territory, when annexed, taken together
with all other land presently within the City Limits of said City
of Sanger, Texas, will not exceed authorized territorial limits
of said City of Sanger, Texas, as provided by law.
