ORDINANCE N0. 82-3
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, SECTION 5, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, ENTITLED LICENSE
FEES TO PROVIDE FOR A FEE OF $100.00 FOR AN INITIAL MASTERS
ELECTRICIAN LICENSE AND $20.00 FOR THE INITIAL JOURNEYMAN
ELECTRICIAN LICENSE AND $10.00 FOR A HOMEOWNER ELECTRICIAN
LICENSE; AND $20.00 FOR A MASTERS RENEWAL FEE, $5.00 FOR A
JOURNEYMAN AND HOMEOWNER RENEWAL FEE; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY
FOR VIOLATION,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS:
qpCs SECTION I
THAT CHAPTER 3, SECTION 5 OF THE SANGER CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HERE-
BY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 5: LICENSE FEES

Initial License Fee
An initial license fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00)
shall be paid in advance by each person licensed as a
Master electrician by the City of Sanger. An initial
license fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be paid in
advance by each person licensed as a journeyman elect-
rician by the City of Sanger. An initial license fee of
ten dollars ($10.00) shall be paid in advance by any per-
son granted a homeowner's permit license by the City of
Sanger.
Renewal Fee
A fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) shall be paid annually
by each holder of a Master electrician license for the
renewal of the license. A fee of five dollars ($5.00)
shall be paid annually be each holder of a journeyman
electrician license for the renewal of the license. A
fee of five dollars ($5.00) shall be paid annually by
each holder of a homeowner permit license for the re-
newal of the permit license.
Expiration of Licenses
Each master and journeyman license and homeowner permit
shall automatically expire on December 31st of the year
of issuance unless the required annual renewal fee is
paid in advance of the expiration date.
SECTION II
All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are,
to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION III
It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council
that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases
of this Ordinance are severable and, if any phrase, clause,
sentence, paragraph, or section of this Ordinance shall be
declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any
court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall
not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences,
paragraphs, and sections of this Ordinance, since the same would
have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation
in this Ordinance of any such unconstitutional phrase, clause,
sentence, paragraph, or section.
SECTION IV
Whenever in this Ordinance an act is prohibited or is made or
declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or where-
ever in such Ordinance, the doing of an act is required or the
failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, the violation
of any such provision shall be punished by a fine of not exceed-
ing Two Hundred ($200..00) Dollars; provided, however, that no
penalty shall be greater or less than the penalty provided for
the same of similar offense under the laws of the State. Each
day any violation of this Ordinance shall continue shall consti-
tute a separate offense.
SECTION V
This Ordinance will take effect immediately from and after its
passage and the publication of the caption as the law in such
cases provides.
