AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, RETAINING THE TAXES
IMPOSED BY THE LOCAL SALES AND USE TAX ACT (ARTICLE 1066c, VERNON'S
TEXAS CIVIL STATUTES) ON THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF GAS AND ELECT
RICITY FOR RESIDENTIAL USE IN SAID CITY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS,
Section 1. The City of Sanger, by maaority vote of its ov
erning body, hereby votes to retain the taxes authorized by the
Local Sales and Use Tax Act (Article 1066c, Vernon's Texas Civil
Statutes) on the receipts ,from the sale, production, distribution,
lease, or rental of, and the use, storage, or other consumption of
gas and electricity for residential use, as authorized by Section 6
of the House Bill No. 1, Acts 1978, 65th Legislature, Second Called
Session,
