AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1-20-72
OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, PROVIDING
FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS FOR THE
PLATTING AND DEVELOPMENT OF SUBDIVISIONS
WITHIN THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, AND ITS
EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION, BY AMENDING
ARTICLE 2-19 OF SAID ORDINANCE RELATING
TO INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGHTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Sanger, Texas,
has determined that the existing Article 2-19 of Ordinance
No. 1-20-1972 of the City of Sanger, Texas, requiring sub-
dividers and/or developers to install street lights only at
intersections should be amended to authorize the location of
additional street lights between intersections as may be
approved by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, HEREBY ORDAINS THAT
SECTION 1 .
Article 2-19 of Ordinance No. 1-20-72 of the City of
Sanger, Texas, shall be and'the same is hereby amended to
hereafter read as follows:
"ARTICLE 2-19, STREET LIGHTS AND SIGNS"
(A)Street lights shall be installed by the subdivider
and/or developer at all street intersections within
the subdivision. The subdivider and/or developer
may be required to install additional street lights
between intersections to insure adequate lighting.
Such street lights shall be of the mercury type,
meeting all standards of the City of Sanger, and
shall be installed at the cost of the subdivider or
developer. The City of Sanger will pay the cost
of maintenance and operation of street lights, after
installation of such lights by the subdivider or
developer.
SECTION L:
EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall take effect, and be in full force
and effect, from and after the date of its passage.
