I. Acting Chairperson Betty Jenkins Called Meeting to Order.
2. Approve Minutes.
Motion was made by Charles Fenoglio to Approve Minutes. Seconded by Mary Bell
Sims.
Motion Carried.
3. Conduct Public Hearing to Consider a Zoning Request Change (Specific Use Permit)
in the Mary H. Shirly Addition, Block 2, Lot 3 (S 62 ½), known as 413 S. 2nd •
Chairperson Jenkins declared Public Hearing Opened.
Speaking against the zoning request was property owner Laverne Gentle who
expressed her concern over increased traffic, parking, noise, and children crossing
2nd street.
Also speaking against the zoning request was property owners Nina Newton, Lorene
Prater al)d Arnold Lynch with the same concerns, as well as the fact that the
property is not fenced.
Chairperson Jenkins advised concerned citizens that she had personally visited with
Jorja Hickman, owner of Kiddie Korral. Ms. Hickman explained that she planned to
put her current after school children at 413 S. 2nd which would not increase traffic
since these children are currently enrolled at Kiddie Korral. She also advised that the
parents and the teachers will continue to park at 412 S. 200 and that no children will be
allowed to cross the street without an adult.
Peggy Haskins also stated that she was very familiar with Kiddie Korral and the hard
work that Ms. Hickman has put into making it a better daycare.
Chairperson Jenkins declared the Public Hearing Closed.

Motion was made by Peggy Haskins to approve the Zoning Request Change (Specific
Use Permit) in the Mary H. Shirley Addition, Block 2, Lot 2 (S 62 ½) known as
413 S. 2nd• Seconded by Charles Fenoglio.
Motion Carried.
5. Any Other Such Matters.
None.
6. Adjournment.
