ABSENT: Joe Falls, Rick Carter, Ralph Cain OTHERS PRESENT: City Administrator Jack Smith, Administrative Secretary Samantha Renz, Frank Maynard 1. Charles Fenoglio called meeting to order. 2. Approve Minutes -March 4, 1999 Polly Dwyer moved to approve minutes~ Mary Belle Sims seconded. Motion Carried Unanimously. 3. Conduct Public Hearing on Replat on Property Legally Described as Lots 1-R to 3-R, Block A, Bucklew-Freese Addition. Property is located on the comer of Kathryn and Bucklew. Public Hearing opened. City Administrator indicated this Item was on the agenda at the last meeting, and the only problem they had was the question concerning the easement, he referenced the copy of the easement in their packet, and indicated the easement given is ten (10) fNt on the back of the lot being replatted, and five (5) foot on the lot behind it. He indicated the City is satisfied. Brief Discussion. Public Hearing closed. 4. Consider and Possible Action on Replat on Property Legally Described as Lots 1-R to 3-R, Block A, Bucklew-Freese Addition. Property is located on the ·comer of •Kathryn and Bucklew. Mary Belle Sims moved to approve the Replat request. Joe Higp seconded. Motion Carried unanimously. S. Conduct Public Hearing on Specific Use Permit to construct a sixty foot tall Billboard-type sign with a muimum area of 400 square feet at the Northeast corner of Lot 6R-2, Sanger 1-3S Industrial Park. Property is Located on 1-3S, South of Burrus Supermarket. Public Hearing opened. City Administrator indicated that Dr. Lynn Stucky had come by his office and spoke with him regarding this request. He indicated the Ordinance regarding sign regulations for the City did permit this type of sign, but a specific use permit is required. He indicated the regulations state that it must be 1000 Feet from any other sign of this type, and it is. Public Hearing closed. 6. Property is Located on 1-3S, South of Burrus Supermarket. Polly Dwyer asked about the zoning. Staff indicated it was zoned B-2. I Discussion. Joe Higgs expressed concerns regarding how close they could build to the sign, and if it would keep a business from being able to build on the lot. City Administrator indicated when Miguelito's was here, they had a billboard in the middle of the parking lot, and it did not affect their business. I Discussion.
