Chairperson Billye Hollingsworth, Tommy Kincaid,
Russell Madden, Charles Kesseler, and Fred Yeatts

Mrs. Patton
1. Chairperson Billye Hollingsworth called the meeting to order.
2. Minutes of August 4th meeting were approved with one correction,
item #4, last sentence correction -Ken Howard seconded instead
of Ken Cornell.
3. Consider and possible action on zoning petition Z3-87 for
Bill Enlowwho is requesting a change in zoning from R-1
Single Family to B2-Business. Discussion continued on this
item between P. & z. members and Mr. Enlow.
Kesseler stated that he was more concerned as to what kind
of business could go in there later on in the years if
Mr. Enlow was granted B-2 zoning and this property was ever
sold.
Chairperson Hollingsworth asked what would he prefer, to be
completely turned down or P. & z. to submit their orginal
recommendation to City Council.
Mr. Enlow did state that P. & z. should take into consideration
there was no one present in opposition to this.
Russell Madden made a motion to deny rezoning of B-2 and to
resubmit to Council original recommendation. (See Minutes)
Tommy Kincaid seconded. Motion carried.
4. Consider and possible action on zoning petition Z4-87 for
John R. Porter who is requesting a change from Agricultural
to Commercial.
Russell Madden made the motion to approve the zoning petition
Z4-87. Seconded by Tommy Kincaid. Motion carried.
s. Consider and possible action on zoning petition ZS-87 for
John R. Porter who is requesting a change in zoning from
Agricultural to Commercial.
Russell Madden made the motion to approve zoning petition
zS-87. Seconded by Tommy Kincaid. Motion carried.

6. Other such Matters:
a. Mrs. Royal's property was discussed. City Secretary,
Rose Shuffield, advised original zoning petition had been
made exeept it had been delayed due to the fact that
Steve had mentioned that Billye Hollingsworth was
going to talk to Mrs. Royal to see if she would change
her mind.
Then later when the publication was printed, Mrs. Royal
advised us there was an error as to the location of the
land; therefore, it has to be republished again.
