Looper, Guaret Jennings, Pat Young, Lyman Young, and Ralph Amyx 1. Chairperson Hollingsworth called meeting to order. 2. Conduct Public Hearing Regarding Specific Use Permit at 910 Chapman Drive (Mrs. Pat Young). Chairperson Hollingsworth opened public hearing for di scussi c,...-,. John addressed Pat Young's request to the Planning & Zoning Commission. He stated current zoning is Industrial but for the use they have in mind would require a Special Use Permit. Staff does recommend granting Special Use Permit. Mrs. Young stated what they intend to do is put in an antique mall and get different dealers to come and use the retail area. Mr. Lyman Young then stated this would allow for at least 40-45 different tastes in antiques to be displayed. Chairperson Hollingsworth closed the public hearing. 3. Consider and Possible Action Regarding Specific Use Permit Pat Young. 4. Eileen Brittian moved that they grant the Specific Use Permit for Pat Young. Seconded by Tommy Kincaid. Motion carried. Consider Public Hearing on Zoning Petition 22-89 for Brandon Ellison Requesting Zoning Change from SF-1 to SF-1, SF-2, & SF-3 • Chairperson Hollingsworth opened public hearing for di SCllSSi C«l'"1. John proceeded in reading two letters concerning the petition from Scotty McMahan and Benny Bridges who firmly • stated they were not in opposition of the zoning request for Brandon Ellison. Staff was making no recommendation e~cept to bring it to them for their recommendation. Mr. Ellison addressed the Planning & Zoning and stated that they do not want to be tied into building 1B00 sq. ft. homes or 1500 sq. ft. hc~es or 1200 sq. ft. homes. This is basically the reason for this type of request. Opposition among the public continued. The issue mainly addressed was the SF-3 zoning verses SF-2 and SF-1. Planning & Zoning members also were concerned with the SF-3 zoning request and felt that SF-2 zoning would be more adequate for that area. Chairperson Hollingsworth closed the public hearing. 5. Consider and Possible Action on Zoning Petition 22-89 Request for Brandon Ellison. Tommy Kincaid made the motion to deny the zoning request for Brandon Ellison. Kenneth Howard seconded. Motion carried. Charles Kesseler made the motion that they change the subdivision zoning in Indian Springs Estate Phase II for Brandon Ellison from SF-1 to SF-2. Kenneth Howard seconded. Motion carried. 6. No Other Such Matters. 7. Meeting adjourned •
