Russell Madden Called Meeting to Order. 2. Approve Minutes -July 6, 2000 Jimmy Evans moved to approve the minutes. Ken Perry seconded. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Conduct Public Hearing to Consider a Variance Request concerning the placement of a Mobile Home as a faxed dwelling in 1-1 (Industrial -1) zoning on property legally described as Abstract 29, Rueben Bebee Survey, Tract 118, being a total of 3.00 acres. Property is located at 1806 N. Stemmons. Public Hearing opened. Benny Johnson addressed the Board regarding the request. He indicated before he was annexed, he had a mobile home on his property, which was still there after he was annexed. He was under the impression that he was set up as a mobile home park, because there were not any regulations concerning R. V. Parks. He indicated the land is zoned Industrial. He had moved a double wide mobile home onto the property to use as a residence. It's at the back of the property, not in front. He indicated the property next to him has five mobile homes in the same zoning. Staff indicated the neighbon will come before them soon regarding their mobile homes. City Manager indicated the City is automatically against the request. Public Hearing closed. 4. Consider and Possible Action Regarding a Variance Request concerning the placement of a Mobile Home as a raed dwelling in 1-1 (Industrial -1) zoning on property legally described as Abstract 29, Rueben Bebee Survey, Tract 118, being a total of 3.00 acres. Property is located at 1806 N. Stemmons. Jerry Jenkins asked when was the R. V. Park established. Benny Johnson indicated in 1980 or 1981. Jerry Jenkins asked what were his intentions when he developed it. Benny Johnson indicated at first he did not intend to make it an R. V. Park, later his dad suggested it, and he put in an R. V. park. Discussion regarding XIT, next to Mr. Johnson property. Jimmy Evans asked when the first mobile home was moved from the property. Mr. Johnson indicated in the early 1990's. Discussion regarding the mobile homes he has had on his property. Discussion regarding zoning and the length of time the R. V.'s have been in the park. Jerry Jenkins moved to deny the request. Sherry Lewis seconded. Motion carried 5 to 1. Jimmy Evans voted no. 5. Any Other Such Matters. a) Jerry Jenkins asked if it would be possible to get more information in the packets regarding the requests. b) Jimmy Evans indicated he needed to resign from the board. c) Need to appoint chairperson at next meeting. 6. Meeting Adjourned.
