MINUTES: Board of Adjustment
February 12, 1998

PRESENT: Administrative Secretary Cheryl King, Glinn Lanier, Glenn Ervin
1. Chairperson Yeatts Called the Meeting to Order.
2. Approve Minutes.
Motion was made by Russell Madden to Approve Minutes. Seconded by Allen
Sweeney.
Motion Carried unanimously.
3. Conduct Public Hearing to Consider a Variance Request to Build a Carport on
Property legally described as Abstract 29A R. Bebee Survey, Tract 207.
Chairperson Yeatts Declared Public Hearing Opened.
Mr. Glinn Lanier, property owner, addressed the board regarding this request. He
advised them that this was the same type of carport that Mr. Glenn Ervin had.
The board discussed the number of favorable responses received.
No one spoke against.
Chairperson Yeatts Declared Public Hearing Closed.
4. Consider and Possible Action Regarding a Variance Request to Build a Carport on
Property legally described as Abstract 29 A R. Bebee Survey, Tract 207.

Motion was made by Russell Madden to Approve Variance Request to Build a Carport
on Property legally described as Abstract 29A R. Bebee Survey, Tract 207. Seconded
by Francile Sullivan.
Motion Carried unanimously.
Any Other Such Matters.
Administrative Secretary Cheryl King advised that Gene and Betty Hughes had a
zoning request on property located on 8th Street. If they were approved for the zoning
change, then they would come before the Board of Adjustment the following week for
a variance request on their lot dimensions.
