MINUTES: Board of Adjustment
June 18, 1998
PRESENT: Fred Yeatts, Francile Sullivan, Andy Garza, Ben Weatherall
ABSENT: Russell Madden, Allen Sweeny, Sam Burrus

PRESENT: City Administrator Jack Smith, City Secretary Rosalie Chavez, Jimmy Evans
1. Chairperson Yeatts Called the Meeting to Order.
2. Approve Minutes.
Motion was made by Ben Weatherall to Approve Minutes of March 19, 1998. Seconded
by Francile Sullivan.
Motion was made by Francile Sullivan to Approve Minutes of May 7, 1998. Seconded
by Ben Weatherall.
Motion was made by Ben Weatherall to Approve Minutes of May 21, 1998 with a
correction to #5, second paragraph to state:
Ben Weatherall stated that this was not a condition or consideration to granting the
variance.
Seconded by Francile Sullivan.
Motion Carried unanimously to Approve Minutes.
3. Conduct Public Hearing to Consider a Variance Request on Property Setbacks on
property legally described as Hillcrest Section 1, Block C, Lot 5, also known as 208
Hillcrest.
Chairperson Yeatts Declared Public Hearing Opened.
Jimmy Evans addressed the board regarding his request for a variance to put a
concrete driveway by his house which will bring it to the edge of his property.
Fred Yeatts indicated that it looks like the variance will include the 8 foot setback.
Discussion.
Chairperson Yeatts Declared Public Hearing Closed.

4. Consider and Possible Action to Approve Variance Request Property Setbacks on
property legally described as Hillcrest Section 1, Block C, Lot 5, also known as 208
Hillcrest.
Motion was made by Ben Weatherall to Approve Variance Request. Seconded by Andy
Garza.
Motion Carried unanimously.
5. Any Other Such Matters.
City Secretary reminded the board not to forget the meeting scheduled for next week.
6. Adjourn.
Motion was made by Francile Sullivan to Adjourn. Seconded by Ben Weatherall.
Motion Carried unanimously.
