1. Chairperson Fred Yeatts Called Meeting to Order.
2. Approve Minutes -June 25, 1998
Fred Yeatts moved to approve minutes of June 25, 1998
Seconded by Ben Weatherall.
Motion Carried Unanimously.
3. Conduct Public Hearing to Consider a Variance Request on Property Setbacks on property
legally described as Sullivan West Addition, Block 8, also known as 808 Peach.
Chairperson Yeatts declared public hearing open.
Mr. Parker addressed the Board in regards to his request. He indicated there had been a garage
in the place where he is wanting to build a new one. He tore it down, with the intention of
building one in it's place. He did not realize the existing garage went beyond the required
setbacks, and if he had realized it, he would have remodelled what was there instead of tearing
it down. His request was to rebuild what was previously in existence.
Ralph Amyx spoke in opposition to this request.
Lengthy Discussion followed.
4. Consider and Possible Action to Approve Variance Request on Property Setbacks on property
legally described as Sullivan West Addition, Block 8, also known as 808 Peach.
Russell Madden moved to grant the variance request.
Ben Weatherall seconded.
Motion carried unanimously.
