MINUTES: BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 16, 1999

1. Russell Called Meeting to Order.
2. Approve Minutes -July 8, 1999

Rodney moved to approve the July 8, 1999 minutes.
Jimmy seconded.
Motion Carried unanimously.

3. Conduct Public Hearing on a Variance Request concerning Setbacks on Property
Legally Described as Block 26, Lot 51 (E. 80' of 140'), in the Hampton Addition.

No Discussion.
Public Hearing closed.
Consider and Possible Action Regarding a Variance Request concerning Setbacks on
Property Legally Described as Block 26, Lot 51 (E. 80' of 140'), in the Hampton
Addition.
Jimmy moved to approve the request.
Bobby seconded.
Motion Carried unanimously.
Mike James indicated he had a problem with a builder being approved for one thing,
then changing his mind and building something else. He would like to see the City
Council implement some type of f"me for this type of situation.
5. Conduct Public Hearing on a Variance Request concerning Parking Regulations on
Property Legally Described as Block 26, Lot 51 (W. 60' of E.140'), in the Hampton
Addition.
Public Hearing opened.
No Discussion.
Public Hearing closed.
6. Consider and Possible Action Regarding a Variance Request concerning Parking
Regulations on Property Legally Described as Block 26, Lot 51 (W. 60' of E. 140'), in
the Hampton Addition.
Bobby moved to grant the variance.
Mike seconded.
Motion Carried unanimously.
Jimmy indicated he did not like having a memo suggesting they grant the variance, he
would rather have the information and decide for himself.
7. Any Other Such Matters.
City Manager indicated the City was in the process of having a Land Use study done,
he indicated the Board of Adjustments and Planning and Zoning will be involved in the
process, and there would be a presentation from the people doing the study.
