Nel Armstrong called meeting to order. 2. Approve Minutes: August 23, 200S July 7, 2005 Motion was made by Beverly Branch to approve minutes. Seconded by Thomas Muir. Motion carried unanimously. 3. Consider and Possible Action for Adoption of the Fiscal Year 200S-2006 Budget. 4. Discussion about Job Description for Economic Development Director. Discussed that we will only require Bachelor's Degree, or 4-S yean experience in Economic Development with no degree. Richard Muir indicated that we might look at a Master's Degree in one of the degrees of education and 3 or more yean experience. Nel Armstrong indicated that we should have a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following or a related field. Beverly Branch indicated that maybe we say Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more yean experience. Nel Armstrong indicated that we say the following: Bachelor's Degree preferably in one of the following. We will change any place that says Master's to be Bachelor's Degree. Lengthy Discussion about Salary. Will discuss again at next year Budget meeting. Salary has been set at $4Sk. Questioned whether this position will work full time for Economic Development or would they also be doing City Hall duties. Nel Armstrong asked that we fund this position with 4A & 48 this year. Will look at dividing the salary with the City in the next year if the City utilizes this persons skills. Discussion about how to advertise for the position. We will post in Denton Record Chronicle and the TML website. Spoke about other Cities such as Frisco and Denton about recruiting them from these other cities. This will not be necessary as we are advertising in TML. The Board has suggested upon interviewing for this position it will be Tommy Kincaid, Jack Smith, Rose Chavez, and a member from each of the Boards. A questionnaire will be provided and asked from each Interviewee. Nel Armstrong very strong on Mayor being on the Hiring Board. Tommy Kincaid from the 48 Board made motion to adopt the Budget as presented. Beverly Branch seconded. Motion carried unanimously. Approved
