1. The minutes of the meeting September 13, 1976 were approved as
written.
2. Public Hearings
a. Z-29 The petition of Mr. Jesse Coffey to change the zoning
classification of 6 acres out of Tract 28 L in the H. Tier -
wester Survey from R-1 to R-3. The public hearing was opened,
and Mr. Jesse Coffey made 9, presentation In support of his
petition. There were no other presentation,' in favor of the.
petition, The City Manager received a petition from the
Hillcrest Church of Christ in opposition to the petition.
Mr. Jimmy Sebastian spoke against the petition. Several
other people voiced their opposition stating they thought
the area would always be single family. The public hearing
was closed and the City Manager made his recommendation in
favor of the petition and stated his reasons, The Commission
discussed the case, and It was moved by Cundiff and seconded by
Armstrong to recommend disapproval- of the petition. Motion
carried 5-0.
