Waide, Georgia Royal, Eileen Brittian, and Tommy Kincaid MEMBERS ABSENT: Bill Enlow and Fred Yeatts OTHERS PRESENT: Mary Jo Stover, Mayor Nel Armstrong, and Harold Easley 1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Billye Hollingsworth. 2. The minutes of the October 22, 1985 meeting were approved as printed. 3. Chairperson Billye Hollingsworth opened the public hearing on Zoning Petition Z-81 for Hilz-Snider Chevrolet. Mayor Armstrong spoke in favor of the Snider petition stating that the City Manager had recommended to P. & Z. that Snider provide the city with a Site Plan showing adequate parking, ingress and egress, and drainage off of the property on to the adjacent land whether public or private. Mayor Armstrong explained that this applicant under our new ordinance would have normally been treated as a Planned Development District as of November 18th, but because it was in the transition period that it was being recommended that planning and zoning consider the petition under the old zoning process. Discussion. Public hearing was closed. Motion was made by Georgia Royal to approve Zoning Petition Z-81 changing from R-1 (Single Family) to LI (Light Industry) subject to the stipulation that an adequate site plan be worked out with the city staff to insure adequate parking, and particularly adequate ingress, egress, and drainage off of the property onto adjacent land whether public or private. Eileen Brittian gave the second. Voted unan. 4. Planning and Zoning consider the preliminary subdivision plat for Harold Easley on Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block E, Extension of the Easley Addition. It was noted that there is an existing house on Lot 1 of this subdivision. Motion was made by Eileen Brittian to approve the preliminary plat for Harold Easley. Tommy Kincaid gave the second. Voted unan. 5. With no other business to come before the commission, Eileen Brittian gave the motion to adjourn. Georgia Royal gave the second. Voted unan.
