1. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Billye Hollingsworth.
2. The minutes of the October 22, 1985 meeting were approved as
printed.
3. Chairperson Billye Hollingsworth opened the public hearing on
Zoning Petition Z-81 for Hilz-Snider Chevrolet. Mayor Armstrong
spoke in favor of the Snider petition stating that the City
Manager had recommended to P. & Z. that Snider provide the city
with a Site Plan showing adequate parking, ingress and egress,
and drainage off of the property on to the adjacent land
whether public or private. Mayor Armstrong explained that this
applicant under our new ordinance would have normally been treated
as a Planned Development District as of November 18th, but because
it was in the transition period that it was being recommended
that planning and zoning consider the petition under the old
zoning process. Discussion. Public hearing was closed.
Motion was made by Georgia Royal to approve Zoning Petition Z-81
changing from R-1 (Single Family) to LI (Light Industry) subject
to the stipulation that an adequate site plan be worked out
with the city staff to insure adequate parking, and particularly
adequate ingress, egress, and drainage off of the property onto
adjacent land whether public or private. Eileen Brittian gave
the second. Voted unan.
4. Planning and Zoning consider the preliminary subdivision plat
for Harold Easley on Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block E, Extension
of the Easley Addition. It was noted that there is an existing
house on Lot 1 of this subdivision.
Motion was made by Eileen Brittian to approve the preliminary
plat for Harold Easley. Tommy Kincaid gave the second. Voted
unan.
5. With no other business to come before the commission, Eileen
Brittian gave the motion to adjourn. Georgia Royal gave the
second. Voted unan.
