Present: Jack Armstrong, Carl Higgs, John Cundiff, Willard Bounds,
Norman Cook, Cecil Snellgrove, Alvin Brown, City Manager,
Mayor Cole
1. All appointees to the Commission were sworn in by the City
Manager.
2. All Members drew for place numbers with the following results:
Place 1 - Carl Higgs, Place 2 - Norman Cook, Place 3 - John
Cundiff, Place 4 - Willard Bounds, Place 5 - Alvin Brown,
Place 6 - Cecil Snellgrove, Place 7 - Jack Armstrong. Therefore,
terms ending June 30, 1977 are Carl Higgs, John Cundiff, Alvin
Brown, Jack Armstrong. Terms ending June 30, 1978 are Norman
Cook, Willard Bounds, Cecil Snellgrove.
3. Election of Chairman and Vice -Chairman: Norman Cook was nomi-
nated as Chairman by Armstrong and seconded by Cundiff. He was
elected by acclamation and presided over the remainder of the
meeting. John Cundiff was nominated as Vice -Chairman by Higgs
and seconded by Armstrong. He was elected by acclamation.
4, Review of ordinancest Mayor Cole welcomed each member to the
Commission and offered the full support of the Council in their
endeavors. The City Manager briefly reviewed the Planning and
Zoning Commission Ordinance and answered questions from the
Commissioners, The Commissioners stated they would like to be-
come involved in planning. The Commissioners also decided not to
hold regular meetings until they became more familiar with their
duties and could initiate some projects.
Meeting adjourned at 7:54 P. M.
