The Planning and Zoning Commission of Sanger, Texas met Tuesday evening,
Feb. 27, 1973 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Room of the Sanger City Hall
to consider three petitions filed by Arnold Lynch, Bill J. Watts, and
Vic Cole, respecttvely.
All Commission members and City Secretary, Dave Marrs, were present for
the public hearing. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lynch, Mr. &
Mrs. Harvey Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. Vj(tO Pierce (Blanche Ward), Mrs. (Ward)
Hanson, Mrs. W.C. Ward, Mrs. Fred Denison, Sr., Fred Denison, Jr., Mrs.
Mack Cole, Mr. Carlos Anthony, Mr. Wes Coggin, Mr. Herman Harris, Mr.
Homer Riley, Mr. Steve Hester, John Coker, Harold Easley, Bobby Ready,
Bill J. Watt, Joe Mitchell, Dick Coleman, Vic Cole
and George Snider.
Following detailed discussion regarding the three petitions, the follow-
ing motions were made:'
1). Tommy Chapman made the motion that the Commission recommend to the
City Council that they approve the request of Vic Cole to rezone
Block 77 of the H. Tierwester Survey joining 351 access road, from
"Local Retail', to "Light Industrial". Mrs. Daisy Cook seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously.
2). Mrs. Cook made the motion that the Commission recommend to the
City Council that they approve the request of Bill J. Watts to
rezone property described as Block 78H, H. Tierwester Survey,
located at the corner of Loop 138 and Old Highway 77, from "Single
Family" classification to "Local Retail', classification. The motion
was seconded by Mrs. Hall and passed unanimously.
3). Mrs. Cook made the motion that the Commission recommend to the
City Council that they approve the formal petition of Arnold Lynch
to rezone property described as Block 78-I of the H. Tierwester
Survey, located at the corner of Church Street and loth Street,
from "Single Family" classification to "Multi -Family" classifica-
tion. The motion was seconded by Tommy Chapman and passed unani-
mously.
In other business, Mrs. Hall made a motion that the Commission members
meet Thursday evening, March 8, 1973 with City Engineer Bob Shawn.
Mr. Landers made a motion, seconded by Mrs. Cook, that the meeting be
adjourned.
