The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Sanger, Texas met
Thursday evening, March 20, 1975 at 7:30 to consider a petition by
Mr. Gene Hughes to, rezone Lot 2, Block 2, of the W.B. Shirley Addi-
tion of Sanger, Texas located on Second and Church Streets from
Single -Family Residential to Light Industrial (LI) under provisions
of Section 20 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Sanger.
Present for the public hearing were Mr. and Mrs. Billy Jack Hollings-
worth, Mrs. Trail, J.A. Newton, R.C. Jones, O.D. Whiteside, Mary Jo
Stover (City Clerk) and Petitioner Gene Hughes. Commission members
present were Ms. Daisy Cook, Ella Hall, Tommy Chapman, Bruce Anthony,
Gray Shelton and Chairman Alvin Brown.
Following a long period of discussion, a motion was made by Tommy
Chapman and seconded by Ms. Cook to recommend to the Sanger City
Council the disapproval of Mr. Hughes petition. The motion passed
unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 p.m. following a motion for adjourn-
ment by Ms..Cook, seconded by Mr. Shelton.
