MEMBERS PRESENT: Fred Yeatts, John Anderson, Georgia Royal,
Billye Hollingsworth, Chm., Bill Enlow
MEMBERS ABSENT: Eileen Brittian, Tommy Kincaid
OTHERS PRESENT: Lloyd Henderson, Harold Easley, Roy Taylor and
Ron McGuire
1. Meeting called to order by Chm. Billye Hollingsworth. Minutes
were approved as printed.
2. Chm. Hollingsworth opened the public hearing to consider Zoning
Petition Z-68 for Roy Taylor. This had been referred from
Council back to P & Z for a more clear recommendation. Roy
Taylor spoke in favor of the petition, Ron McGuire spoke against
the change on the basis that the zoning change would open the
property to businesses which may or may not be favorable to the
best interest of the community. Anderson made the motion to
recommend the petition be denied and Enlow gave the second.
V o ted unanimously.
3.. Chm. Hollingsworth opened the Public Hearing to consider Zoning
Petition Z-70 to change Roberts Park Addition from LB to R-1.
No one was present to speak for or against the request. Royal
made the motion and Yeatts the second to recommend the passage
of this petition. Voted unanimously.
4. Commission then considered Preliminary Plat for a Subdivision of
Lots lA & 1B, Block 1, Hughes Addition for Harold Easley for a
single family dwelling. Yeatts made the motion and Anderson
gave the second to recommend approval to council. Voted unani-
mously.
5. There were no other matters to come before Commission.
Enlow made the motion to adjourn and Royal the second. P & Z
Commission adjourned.
