01/31/1974-PZ-Minutes-RegularMINUTES OF JAN. 31, 1974 The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Sanger, Texas met Thursday evening, January 31, 1974 at 7:30 in the Council Room of the Sanger City Hall to consider a petition by Dr. Hyman Khan requesting that the zoning classi- fication of the property described below be changed from the classification as newly annexed territgry, as provided by the Zoning Ordinance, in R-1, Single Family Dwelling District to the Light Industrial (LI) District, with authorization for railroad spurs, under the provisions of Section 20 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Sanger, Texas. The said property is located on Irterstate Highway 35 East Service Road, and Old U.S. 77, and is more particularly described as follows: 73.54 acres of land, more or less, fully described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A" HERETO ATTACHED; The Planning and Zoning Commission further considered a second petition of Hyman Kahn requesting that the zoning classification of the property described below be changed from the existing zoning to the Light Industrial (LI) Dis- trict, with authorization for railroad spurs under the pro- visions of Section 20 of the Zoning Ordinance mf the City of Sanger, Texas. The said property is located on old U.S. 77 and F.M. 455, and is more particularly described as follows: 38.454 acres of land, described in five (5) tracts in Exhibit "B" HERETO ATTACHED. Tommy Chapman made a motion that the Commission recommend that the City lCoundil accept Mr. Kahn's petitions. J.C. Landers seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Present at the public hearing were Sammie Smith Bynum, Ronnie Adkins, Doug Harrell, Jim Conley, Dr. Hyman Kahn, John Wilson, Jim Attaya, Delbert Jones, Ann Kile, City Secretary Dave Marr, and Zoning Board members Tommy Chapman, J.C.
