PRESENT: Chairman Jack Armstrong, Georgia Royal, Billye Hollingsworth,
Willard Bounds, Tommy Kincaid, and Bill Enlow.
OTHERS PRESENT: Lloyd Henderson, Mary Jo Stover, Ray Abbott,
Nell Armstrong, and Carolyn Frazier.
1. 'Pommy Kincaid was sworn in as a new commissioner.
2. The minutes of the July 12, 1983 meeting were approved as
printed.
3. Motion was made by Billye Hollingsworth to grant a side lot
variance of 12.5' on Lot 20, Block 18, Hampton Addition for
Ray Abbott. Willard Bounds gave the second. Voted unan.
4. Gene Hughes' request for variance on Lot 6, Block 2 of the
W. B. Shirley Addition was discussed at length. It was rioted
that Mr. Hughes h ad required a variance on most of the homes
built in the Shirley subdivision. Questions regarding the
building permit and utilities were ask city staff.
Lloyd stated he would have to check and get back with
commissioners.
Motion was made by Bill Enlow to put the item back on the next
P & Z agenda. Willard Bounds gave the second.
Motion was made by Tommy Kincaid to amend the first motion
and add to shut him down until the matter is resolved. Willard
Bounds gave the second. Voted unan.
5. Motion was made by Georgi.a Royal to grant a 10' variance to
construct a garage on Lot 1, Block 1, Sanger South (101 South-
land) for Richard White. Billye Hollingsworth gave the second.
Voted unan.
Motion was made by Willard Bounds to adjourn the meeting.
