1. Chairman Hollingsworth called the meeting to order. The minutes
of the previous meeting were approved as printed.
2. Chairman Hollingsworth declared the public hearing opened on
Zoning Petition Z-78 for Delbert Bryant on Lot 1B, Block 77,
and the E.98' of the N. 90' of the S.170' of Block 77, Orig-
inal Town. Mr. Bryant is requesting this change from Single
Family (R-1) to Multi -family (R-3). Mr. J. C. Landers spoke
in opposition to the request stating he had no problem with
duplexes but he and several neighbors were opposed to apart-
ments. Kincaid made the motion to recommend to council the
approval of a change in zoning to Two Family (R-2). Yeatts
gave the second and it was voted unanimous.
3. Mr. 0. W. Davis, Jr. asked for a variance of 8' in the back
to construct a house on his Lot 3, Block 39, 0. T. at the
corner of 4th and Willow Streets. This reduces the back
yard to 17'. Yeatts made the motion and Kincaid gave the
second to recommend to council that this request be granted.
Motion was made by Kincaid to adjourn the meeting. Enlow
gave the second. Voted Unan.
