Box 578 Sanger, Tx. 76266 RE: Variance for sign permit Snap Shop I-35 at FM455 Dear Ms. Chavez: Please accept this letter as our request for a variance to the sign ordinance to install a second detached pole sign at the above referenced property. We are requesting this variance on behalf of the owners of the Snap Shop and Charles Smith of Jesswood Petroleum. The sign we are requesting a permit for is a Phillips 66 ID sign with a 6x7 changeable copy price sign. The effective area of the sign is 91 square feet at an overall height of 23'. It will set on the southeast corner of the property, approximately 24' setback from the front property line. We feel justified in this request, as the neigboring competition, across the street, has the advantage of a second sign with a price sign for gas. In addition, the property has effective street frontage on more than one road. The existing high rise sign is intended for visibility from I-35 and does not afford adequate visibility and flexibility for the local drive by traffic. If this request is accepted, please advise me as to what additional documen- tation is needed.
