1. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Billye Hollingsworth.
Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as printed.
2. Eileen Brittian made the motion and Fred Yeatts gave the second
that the preliminary subdivision plat for Skeeter.Henry on Tract
I and Tract II, W. E. Henry Industrial Development be approved
and recommended for approval to council. Voted unan.
I 3. Benny Johnson explained his request for a variance on Tract 32,
AB.29C, R. Bebee Survey. He is asking for a 10 foot variance
on the front and 3 foot on the side lot. He proposed to con-
struct a two (2) story building in which the upper story would
be an apartment. Although he is zoned Local Business and can
build on the property line the ordinance requires the building
be set back according to R-1, R-2, and R-3 standards because it
is a habited building. Motion was made by Tommy Kincaid to rec-
ommend approval to council. Fred Yeatss gave the second. Voted
unan.
4. Motion was made by Bill Enlow and seconded by Tommy Kincaid to
recommend approval of the variance requested by Carolyn Tuttle
on Lot B, Block B, White Addition. She has a buyer for this
property who would like to build a house on this substandard
lot being 55.52 feet across the front and 5,885.12 total square
feet. Jim Grube the prospective buyer explained his proposed
house to be constructed will conform to all lot line requirements.
Voted Unan.
5. Motion was made by Tommy Kincaid and seconded by Fred Yeatts to
recommend approval of subdivision preliminary plat on Lots 1 &
2, Block G, White Addition for Jean Haddock. Ronny Jones is
building a house on the lot and spoke in favor of the plat change.
Voted Unan.
6. Motion was made by Eileen Brittian and seconded by Georgia Royal
to recommend approval of variance request submitted by Jim Hubbard
on Lot 3, Block Am Roberts Park Addition. Mr. Hubbard is building
a house which will extend over the front setback line and is re-
questing a 5 ft. variance. Mr. Hubbard pointed out that he may*
not need the entire 5 ft. and that because this lot is on a radius
it will not appear to be out of line with other houses on adjacent
lots. Voted unan.
7. With no other business to come before the commissioners, Georgia
Royal made the motion to adjourn and Bill Enlow gave the second.
Voted unan.
