AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
SANGER; SPECIFYING A PARKING LOT TO BE HERE
REGULATED; RESERVING SAID PARKING LOT FOR PARK
USE; REGULATING AND RESTRICTING PARKING ON SUCH
LOT; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY OF THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR THIS ORDINANCE.
NOW BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANGER:
SECTION I: CODE OF ORDINANCES AMENDED
That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanger is hereby amended by adding an article,
to be numbered Article 10.1100, which article shall read as follows:
"ARTICLE 10.1100 PARKING REGULATIONS AT COMMUNITY
CENTERISWITZER PARK
(a) "Park" as used herein shall refer to that park in the City of Sanger commonly known as
Community Center Park and also commonly known as Switzer Park.
(b) The parking of motor vehicles on the designated parking lot on and surrounding said
park shall be restricted to those vehicles currently utilizing the park, the swimming pool
therein, or any of the other facilities of the park.
(c) The parking of motor vehicles on said parking lot in excess of twelve (12) hours and
vehicles parked on said parking lot during hours which are not park hours shall serve as
prima facie evidence of a violation of the provisions of this article.
(d) If any vehicle is found upon the aforementioned parking lot in violation of any of the
provisions of this article, and the identity of the driver cannot be determined, the owner or
person in whose name such vehicle is registered shall be held prima facie responsible for
such violation.
(e) The Chief of Police of the City of Sanger may impound or cause to be impounded, any
automobile, truck, or other motor vehicle found to be in violation of the provisions of this
article. Such motor vehicle shall be impounded at a place designated by the Chief of
Police.
(f) A fee shall be paid by the owner of any such automobile or other vehicle to the City of
Sanger, in order to take and repossess such impounded vehicle. Said fee is charged as a
police regulatory fee to offset the expense of impounding. Said fee shall be in accordance
with the prevailing cost of impoundment."

SECTION H: PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS
That any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this
Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in
accordance with the general penalty provision of the City of Sanger found in Chapter 1,
Section 1.106 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Sanger, and each and every day's
violation shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTION III: SEVERABILITY
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or word in this
Ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of the Ordinance, and the City Council hereby declares that it would have passed
such remaining portions of the Ordinance despite such invalidity.
SECTION IV: CONFLICTING PROVISIONS
That any and all Ordinances of the City of Sanger heretofore adopted which are in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby expressly repealed insofar as the same are in conflict
therewith.
SECTION V: EFFECTIVE DATE
That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately, from and after its passage and publication
of the caption, as the law in such cases provides.

six (6) ft. high, security fence to enclose the municipal
Swimming Pool Complex.-- Bid documents can be secured
from the Office of the City. Secretary 'during the normal
business hours at City Hall, 201 Bolivar, Sanger, Texas.

All bids must be returned is a sealed envelope marked
"Pool Fence," and will be presented to City Council for
consideration at their regular meeting, Monday, April 19,
1993, at 7 p.m.
The City of Sanger reserves the right to reject any and,
all bids and in any case award the bid in the best interest of the
City.
