January 15, 2019

1. Meeting called to order.
2. Pledge.
3. Citizen’s Input.
• No citizens in attendance.
4. Minutes of the Meeting of November 13, 2018.
• Minutes were approved unanimously after a motion to approve by Cale Trail and a second by Jackie Turner.
5. Follow Up on The Annual Christmas Parade Held on December 8, 2018.
• The board asked if we could purchase banners that state the date of the parade. Jennifer Shumate advised
she will get with Jim Berman on this idea.
• Jennifer Shumate advised that the parade was successful in spite of the cold and rain. While initially over
65 parade float entries had been submitted there were far less in attendance as well as less spectator than
usual. However, everything went off as planned and therefore considered a success.
• Christmas parade will be on the 2nd Saturday again for 2019 which is December 14, 2019.
6. Discuss Mother Son Dance to be Held in February.
• Jennifer Shumate advised that the dance was being held on February 16, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm and that
if Jackie or Kelsey were available to help, they would be welcome but it isn’t necessary.
• Josh asked how many tickets were sold and Jennifer answered that 60 tickets would be sold. Each ticket
is good for two people and the church holds 120.
7. Keep Sanger Beautiful / Keep Texas Beautiful / Keep America Beautiful Update.
• Jackie Turner stated that she is already deep into planning for our March Trash Off including getting
together letters for the school, the scavenger hunt paperwork, and most exciting is donations from
businesses.
• Jackie has also been completing the 2018 reports for both KTB and KAB to keep Sanger in good standing
as well as signing up for required webinars.
• The Board once again thanked Jackie for her continued hard work on Keep Sanger Beautiful.
8. Open Discussion of Future Projects.
• None discussed at this time.
9. Future Agenda Items.
• Trash Off to be held on March 9, 2019.
• Easter Egg Hunts being held in April.
• Any other Spring events that may arise.
