August 18, 2015

1. Meeting called to order at 7:05pm.
2. Pledge.
3. Citizen’s Input.
Citizens in attendance did not speak.
4. Consider minutes of the meeting of June 9, 2015.
Minutes approved unanimously after a motion to approve by Eddie Piercy and a second by Carrie Bilyeu.
5. Post Event Follow Up On The Fishing Derby that was held on June 13, 2015..
40 attendees approximately.
Carrie voiced that she felt that the attendance was so high due to the event being in June and not
competing with baseball.
Fishing Team’s involvement was incredibly helpful.
6. Sanger Sellebration.
Application to recruit board members will be handed out.
Flyers for Fall Fishing Derby will be handed out.
Pop Up banner will be brought to get attention to the booth.
Board would like to do the same as 2014 by handing out balloons and candy. Our booth will be up and
running for the hours of 9am to 12noon.
7. Parks CIP.
Tabled until September meeting.
8. Open Discussion of Future Projects.
The fall fishing derby needs to be scheduled. The Parks Department would like for the Board to
consider the day of October 24 because it will work best for both the Fishing Team and the City of
Sanger. This date can be confirmed at the September meeting.
Christmas parade date will be set at a later date.
Swing project for parks and even possibly even a disabled swing.
Clean up of area around high way and around town. Trash pick up.

Scarecrow Contest.
Christmas Parade.
