The minutes of the November 21 meeting were approved as printed. 2. Thomas made the motion to approve the disbursements in the amount of $35,127.92a Bridges gave the second. Voted unan. 3. Motion was made by Thomas to adopt Ordinance No. 83-14 amending the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 11, Section 5 (d) requiring lot line inspections on all construction. Corrections to be made in the second paragraph under (d) as follows: omit the word "any"; change the word "he" to the inspector. Inman gave the second. Voted unan. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BANGER, TEXAS TO ADD SECTION 5 (d), CHAPTER 11, ENTITLED ZONING LOT SETBACK LINE INSPECTION; PROVIDING FOR A REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. 4. Motion was made by Adkins to approve the extra pay for extra work of city employees. Employees with ore year and less tenure to receive $50. and employees with one year and more tenure to receive $75. Contract labor on City payroll to be included (i.e. Vernie Burns, Joe Mendoza, Charlie Canady). Bridges gave the second. Voted unan. 5. Item passed over. 6. Item passed over 7. Item passed over 8. Motion was made by Bridges to approve the amendment to the HUD guidelines on the rental rehabilitation assistance program. Spindle gave the second. Voted unan. 9. Motion was made by Bridges to approve the amendment to the HUD Resolution establishing policy for providing optional relocation payments under the 1982 CDBG program. Adkins gave the second. Voted unan. 10. Motion was made by Bridges to adopt Ordinance No. 83-15 amending the speed zones on Loop 138 and FM 455. Adkins gave the second. Voted unan. 16 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 6E OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANGER, TEXAS, ENTITLED SPECIAL SPEED ZONES; PROVIDING FOR A REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION. 11. Other such matters: (a) Council was advised that the telephone rate case study is available to anyone who cares to study it. Motion was made by Spindle to adjourn the meeting. City Secretary Mayor MINUTES: City Council December 19, 1983 PRESENT: Mayor Cole, Bridges, Inman, Thomas and Adkins ABSENT: Spindle OTHERS PRESENT: Lloyd Henderson, Mary Jo Stover, Bob Roberts, L. D. Fergus,. Burl H. Bourland, Eugene W. Hupp, and C. G. McNeill 1. The minutes of the December 6, 1983 meeting were approved as printed. 2. Adkins made the motion. to approve disbursements in the amount of $5,531.56. Bridges gave the second. Voted unan. 3. Motion was made by Inman to approve the Sanger Electric Capital Improvements in the amount of $4,937.12. Adkins gave the second. Voted unan. 4. Mayor Cole and Council discussed the comparisons of the plat and zoning fees of the City of Denton and Sanger. Mayor Cole stated that the city was not recouping its funds for these items. Lloyd advised council the city was losing money on these plats because there have been no charges for the engineering fees. He further explained that on a large subdivision plat the engi- neering fees run from $260 up. Denton is charging $75 for each .subdivision variance. Mayor Cole stated that the city should charge for variances. He felt the city should not subsidize anyone requesting a change. Discussion. Mayor Cole asked Lloyd to get cost estimates on the plat and zoning fees and put the item back on the next council agenda. Lloyd was also requested to bring a fe e sche- dule of all other fees. 5. Mr. Burl Bourland came before council to request a trailer park license. Mayor Cole asked if the property was zoned properly and Lloyd replied yes. Mr. Bourland stated he plan- ned.to build the Mobile Home Park and that he had platted_66 lots. He stated he had had a park in.Denton.for 7 years and
